The Plan
1. At the beginning of the week the parent should pick out 10 words from the next chapters to learn.
(For younger children pick words with 4 letters or less. For older children pick words with more than 4 letters.)
2. Take a chapter a day more or less as needed.
3. As you read through the chapter mark the major words (ie. animals, plants, things, places, cities) with a colored pencil.
3. Study the words marked in books or on the internet.
5. Make drawings of the chapter and write the chapter in your own words, to illustrate each of your drawings.
6. Show your pictures and tell the story to the rest of the family, class etc.
7. For one book of the Bible as you go through the chapter(s), each day, mark all the nouns, another book of the Bible the adjectives, another book adverbs, another punctuation etc.

Just a idea, for getting history beyond the ancient histroy, try the below program: After you get through the Bible, you may want to take a month or two and focus on History from then till now, and Christians influence throughout it. And spend that month in focusing on, and memorizing special verses to use, in evangelizing and blessing others. You may also want that month or two to examine current missions. That would be a great month to start learning a foregin language. You can get history books from: http://www.dianawaring.com/ History Through the Ages Timeline: http://www.homeschoolinthewoods.com/ You can find some special verses here: http://hometown.aol.com/witnesscenter/aboutjesus.html and here: http://www.acresoft.com/likebibleverses.htm Language course: http://www.multilingualbooks.com/10min.html

Idea: Or you could use the above methods for just your Bible class if you prefer.
